A chiffon ballet skirt is recommended for class. No tutus please. Please refrain from wearing overly ornamented leotards. Be sure to label ALL dancewear with your child's name.

Hair should be pulled off the face and shoulders. Ponytail and buns are appropriate hairstyles for class.

Pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes are suggested for girls. Boys are asked to wear a Step by Step shirt, black shorts/sweats and black ballet shoes. Girl's hair longer than shoulder length should be worn in a ponytail or bun. Hair should be free from frame of face. Children enrolling in all other Step by Step classes should wear movable clothing. No belt, buckles or jeans should be worn. It’s recommended l if all students have a separate dance bag to place their dance wear in to carry or store clothing at their school.

All children enrolled in Step by Step class should arrive to school in their dance attire if their class is held before 12:30pm. Bring a change of clothes for them to dress into after class. If a child's Step by Step class is after 1:00 pm they will be assisted by their teacher with dressing prior to class. Dancewear should be left and stored at school in the Step by Step Sling Bag.
